Paolo was born and raised in Argentina, while Anais was born in France and raised in Ecuador. They met at the Universidad Adventista del Plata in Argentina while studying medicine and married in 2020. A few months after their wedding, they embarked on an 8-month mission trip to Lebanon in 2020 to work in a primary care clinic for refugee people. This experience intensified their interest in undertaking another mission before commencing their residency in the USA. They both share a strong desire to serve others with their profession by working in a primary care clinic located in the heart of the Palawan jungle.
