Serving as a Platinum Missionary
Platinum missions is designed for individuals or couples who don’t have dependants to raise and who are financially free to spend at least one year overseas. You must be in good health and be able to commit to at least one year of service at a project where your maturity and skills will be highly useful. When you arrive at your field of service, you might teach English, help with literacy, be a friendship evangelist, homeschool the career missionary’s children, or use other talents to assist the project in reaching others for Jesus. You will be a powerful influence for Christ, not only for the locals, but also for the missionaries themselves. No matter what you do, you will be of great help to the project by sharing the love of Jesus with all you meet.
If you are a healthy, mature, baptized Seventh-day Adventist Christian who loves Jesus Christ, and you can envision yourself serving in a tropical environment, please prayerfully consider becoming an AFM platinum missionary.
Will I actually make a difference?
Read what Sophia Frankston, student missionary from 2018-2019 in Southeast Asia, had to say about a platinum missionary who served at the same project:
I served alongside a platinum missionary for a year at the Tai-Kadai project. The knowledge and life experience that she brought to the project was a great blessing to me and everyone else she worked with on a daily basis during her time of service. Her contributions lightened everyone’s load and were an asset to the project.
You CAN make a difference! Why not start your journey to serve the unreached today?
Here I am, send me!
