Student Missions

Answer God’s call to GO!

Ready to give a year of your life in service to others overseas who don’t know Jesus? Are you ready for the spiritual adventure of your life? The AFM student missions program is designed to assist you in going and sharing the good news of Jesus with others, even if you don’t have prior missionary experience.

What will I do?

This year will probably be the best part of your education, where you’ll serve on the frontiers and introduce others to Jesus. You might be involved with outreach activities, performing basic medical work, doing agriculture, homeschooling missionary children, teaching English, leading out in Pathfinders, or participating in many other opportunities. What you do will depend on where you go and the skills you have to share with others! No matter where you go, you will learn a new language and make friends so that you can introduce others to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. You are ready to commit to 9-12 months of service at an established mission project where full-time, career missionaries will oversee your tasks and encourage you as you begin the journey of sharing your love for Jesus with others all around the world.

Qualifications

Our student missionaries are typically between 19 and 27 years of age. To qualify as a student missionary, you must be a baptized, Seventh-day Adventist Christian, and you will have been enrolled in school full-time for a full term or semester within the last 12 months. Each call lasts between nine months and two years. All student missionaries are responsible to raise a portion of the funds required for their time of service, but don’t worry – we will help and encourage you in this process, and you’ll be amazed when you see God raising your support team so that you can go serve in the mission field!

Interested in mission service, but not sure you fit the above qualifications? Take a look at our other mission opportunities – we have many more that you can explore!
