Seth & Sonya Miller

Career Missionaries since 2014, serving the Palawano people of the Philippines.

Seth and Sonya Miller with their two children Luke (age 11) and Lily (age 6) are blessed to be serving as missionaries on the AFM Palawano Project on the island of Palawan in the Philippines. It is our primary goal to reach the native people living in the mountainous jungle near Brooke’s Point with the everlasting gospel and the present truth (Rev. 14:6-12).

It is amazing how God called us to be missionaries. Sonya and I loved our student-missionary experience. God blessed us to serve the unreached in Japan during our first year of marriage. Praise the Lord, we found a joy like no other in telling people about Jesus!

Following our time in Japan, God blessed Sonya and me with medical missionary training at Wildwood. Then I got nursing training at Southern Adventist University with the goal of us being missionaries again.

Upon my graduation, no door to overseas service opened, but God blessed us to serve as a nurse at a very mission-minded Adventist hospital and church in Jellico, Tennessee.

After we had been serving there for a few years it was sadly announced that the hospital was up for sale. Around this time, some missionaries shared their testimony at our church. “Who even knows where I am?” I wondered. “How could I ever be called to mission service?” God comforted me with the thought that He knew where I was, and if He wanted me to be a missionary, He could call me.
It still amazes me: here we are in Palawan, serving with Jesus as missionaries! It is our prayer and desire that, through the medical, educational and gospel work being done through the power of the Holy Spirit, that many of the native Palawan will spend eternity with Jesus!

Pressing   Upward

I am so thankful to God for His providence that day. He knows the number of the hairs of our heads, and He cares about us.

Heartsick

After about a month here in the lowlands, Maylin and her mother returned to their home in the mountains. I was a little sad to see her go, but happy that she was feeling better and could return home. I wish you could meet Maylin. I pray that you will meet her one day soon in heaven!

Heavy Lifting

In these end times as the nations are angry, may God fill us with His peace and use us to be messengers of His wonderful invitation to the thirsty and whosoever will, to “come” and “take the water of life freely” (Rev. 22:17).

God’s Grace to Buba

God used you, His church, to send the missionaries and bless Buba. I am thankful to God and to you for the opportunity to share His love here in Palawan.
