Jonathan & Veronica Nicholaides

Career Missionaries since 2013, serving the Hill Tribes of Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. They previously served among the Pnong.

A little more then eight years ago, God called the Nicholaides family to work for Him in the Asian country of Cambodia. After God provided the funding they needed, Jonathan and Veronica boarded an airplane with their four children, Hannah, Bethany, Enoch and Josiah. For the first four years they served with the Great River People.

Previously are living in the province of Mondulkiri, a lovely mountainous area on the north eastern side of Cambodia, they are moving to the Hill Tribe people group in Northeaster Cambodia.

The Hill Tribe people are animists who live in fear and bondage to the spirits and yet they worship them at the same time. At weddings, funerals, planting time, harvest time, or any other momentous occasions, they perform rituals, such as animal sacrifices, in an effort to appease the spirits and avoid calamity. It is sad to see people living in fear. Those who have accepted Jesus don’t suddenly become rich and have easy lives, but their newfound joy and peace are a powerful witness to their families and communities.

The whole family is involved in friendship evangelism, connecting all the people around, neighbors, school staff, and villagers to develop relationships that give local people opportunities to see Christ’s love. The local school staff are a wonderful group of dedicated Christians who want to share Jesus in the community, too. We are privileged to witness the love and freedom that people, who once lived in darkness, experience through their new found faith in Jesus.

Frontier Stories

Ripples

These situations are reminders that the best witness we can give others is not a sermon or Bible study but the power of Christ living in our hearts. May His presence in our lives send beautiful ripples always!

One Sabbath Afternoon

I imagine God looking down at our little group in that jungle valley with pleasure that Sabbath afternoon.

Who Will Go?

Please join us in praying for dedicated young people willing to sacrifice comfort and convenience to share their love of Jesus in remote villages and for the financial support to send them.

Nary

Nary’s life has been a lot harder than most children I have known, but I see so much potential in her.

Reality

Even though we were disappointed that Ma Ceort passed away, the reality is that we are in a battle, and the enemy does not give up territory easily.
