Like migrating birds of Autumn, many of our furloughing missionaries have recently flown back to their places of ministry.
The Bade family were in the States for a regular furlough, and through miraculous answers to prayer, they recently returned to Benin with their donor ministry complete. Praise God! While they have been in the States, their churches and worship groups in Benin have been growing and engaged in much prayer ministry. The funds have been raised to complete the construction of a new worship / ministry facility at the Dendi Project, and the other plants are going well. By God’s grace, we plan to return this project to the local denominational leadership in the next couple of years as a completed project with a well established presence among the Dendi people.
The Palacios family have also completed their furlough and donor ministry and are now back in Thailand. While they were away, Chris Sorensen provided able leadership, and they are all serving side by side, together with Daniëlle K. Daniëlle has been supporting some Bible-study groups, and we are excited to see God at work in this project, with now the development of an international and a local body of believers meeting regularly.
Suzy and Fidel Baldwin-Noutehou are back in Benin. They are starting a new project in northwest Benin known as the Pendjari Project. This is a region with six unreached people groups, most of whom are animists. Please remember Suzy and Fidel as they also work to establish a local printing / publishing house. Just south of them, the Harrals have returned from some studies and are continuing their work among the Otammari people, side by side with Uli and Touissant. The work among the Otammari is growing, and we praise God for this!
The Sharmas have also returned to India from furlough, having enjoyed some blessed time with friends and family. Please keep them in your prayers. They have had some real breakthroughs with local interests recently. Pray that the Holy Spirit will nourish and grow the sprouts of faith.
The Tumbergs are still on furlough and are expecting a child in the near future. Please remember them in your prayers as they go through this incredible journey together.
And last but not least, our student workers have all been some weeks in their places of service. Some have already seen God at work in powerful ways to keep them in their locations of service, and all are continuing to settle in and learn their new language and culture. Please keep these young people in your prayers as they adjust to life among the unreached and shine for God!
