This month we say goodbye to two of our missionary families—the Harrals and the Freemans as God leads them into new fields of ministry.
Perhaps you understand what I mean when I say that I will deeply miss their presence in the pages of Adventist Frontiers. I get to meet our missionaries briefly during their orientation and training at the AFM home office. But, like many of you, I really got to know these two amazing families through their monthly articles. I have been transfixed by their stories—the spiritual battles that raged in dusty villages around Natitingou, Benin, and the broken, hungry Irish hearts searching for healing and fullness on the streets of Cork, Ireland. Over the mountaintops and through the valleys of their ministry, the Harrals and Freemans faithfully shared from their hearts in these pages and opened our eyes to experiences and insights we couldn’t have found anywhere else. Looking back on what the Spirit’s mighty power has accomplished through their willingness to serve, I am filled with awe, wonder and praise. Where sin abounded, God’s grace did much more abound!
Jeff, Annemarie, Jared and Emily; Jason Maggi, Reuben, Kaia and Petra; we all thank you for letting the quickening power of the Father pour through you to unreached people. While you witnessed to those around you, your words also strengthened and renewed the hearts of many readers half a world away. We commit you to Him who is able to keep you from falling, confident that He will continue to bless and multiply your ministry for His glory.
