Joseph and Beryl have been interested in missions since childhood. Both were born in Kenya, and their friendship started developing while they attended the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. There they served in the men’s and women’s residences, in youth leadership and through music. During the school holidays, they served in the same local congregation and volunteered to support ministries among the Maasai of Kenya, an unreached people group at that time.
After graduating from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, Joseph studied at Central Michigan University, then Regent University, U.S.A., where he recently earned his Doctorate in Strategic Leadership. Beryl also graduated from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, then studied at Daystar University and recently graduated with her PhD in Strategic Communication, also from Regent University, U.S.A. While single, Beryl served as a missionary in a creative access country, working with women.
Joe and Beryl have been blessed by God to work as professionals in 12 countries on four continents. They travel and serve in various local congregations and communities. Joe is an executive professional with a global shipping company, working with the organization’s leadership in various capacities. Beryl, a gifted writer, has served as a country director for an international humanitarian organization in three of those countries while consulting for the United Nations on a project to improve livelihoods. She also recently completed a second Masters in Law (Human Rights). Beryl has a passion for working with the marginalized and vulnerable. She is writing books while coaching and interceding for and with several women.
Joe and Beryl are both avid readers blessed with a vast collection of books in their home library. They both love to learn. They count it the greatest opportunity to study the Word of God and to serve the Lord in reaching unreached people groups. After graduating with their PhDs in 2021, they have both sensed the call of God to serve as career missionaries in Greenland (the coolest place on earth). Expect to read “ArCticles” of their call and more soon.
Joe and Beryl love to sing together in praise of God as Joe plays the saxophone and the flute while Beryl plays the violin and piano. They love reaching out to people of various cultures and learning new languages. Fixing plant-based food together is one of the fun things they enjoy.
Joe and Beryl are excited to follow God’s leading into paths unknown because they know Who is leading in their pilgrimage through Greenland. They thank each of you for your prayers and support as they seek to show the incredible love of God to those who have never heard.

God sent a little Greenlander to hug us and show we were welcome. Isn’t it neat that He calls us by name?

We pray that this ministry facility will not only be a shelter from the stormy weather but that those who enter will be led to know the Shelter available through all the storms of life.

Pray with us as we pull out the music of His presence written in our hearts, that those who interact with us will take note of Jesus and His love.

Is Em’s hunger more than physical? We long for Em to also know of the Three Angels’ Messages going into all the world, messages that must go beyond art on a museum wall and into human hearts walled in by pain and past.
