Adventist Frontier Missions (AFM) is pleased to welcome two new families as missionaries-in-training (MITs). These couples have attended orientation at the AFM home office, and they are currently conducting fundraising in preparation for launch to their respective assignments.
David and Edileuza Hicks will be church planting among the remote animistic Ama tribe who live in the tropical rainforest of Papua New Guinea. David, who studied pastoral ministries at Weimar College, served as a student missionary for two years with the May River project 20 years ago. Edileuza (“Edie”) immigrated to the USA from Brazil. She is a registered nurse and will be operating a small medical clinic in the area.
Donate to the mission project for the Hicks family.
Gary and Elizabeth Gibson and their three boys, Jonathan, Jared and Josiah currently live in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. They are preparing to share Jesus with the Celtic peoples of the British Isles. As they prepare, you might just find the family swimming, biking, camping, hiking or on yet another road trip adventure!
Help the Gibsons reach the launching goals for their project.
We praise the Lord for these families who are eager and willing to serve Him as missionaries to unreached people groups in the 10/40 window. Please support these families through your prayers and gifts.
