The need:
The purchase of a vehicle for the Georgian Project will facilitate our transportation needs and to allow us get to areas of the country to visit with the underground movement within Georgia.
The reason for a new vehicle is to have safe, reliable transportation. In Georgia the vast majority of second hand vehicles are wrecks that have been put back together. A recent trip to Tbilisi to survey the used car market showed most, if not all cars offered were rebuilt cars.
The vehicle that has been researched is a new Toyota Rav 4 that has excellent ratings and with a high enough ground clearence that will allow visiting the underground movement in some of the more rugged areas of the country where they are located.
Objectives:
- Provide safe reliable long term transportation needs.
- Eliminate the need to pay for taxi’s
- Generally, to provide the project with a ministry tool.
- Ease transportation for culture study research.
