Book Finished. Website Started.

“That’s it,” said Aaron as he turned the last page. “We are done.”

After translating and editing for the last year, our work on the health book is complete.

“Now, what do we do?” Aaron asked.

“You know that I have created a health website. We will break the book up into smaller chunks for people to read online,” I explained. “Then we will make cards and brochures that will attract people to the website. We can carry these with us, and whenever we meet someone who has a lifestyle health concern, we will point them to the website where they can learn how to live healthier lives. Then we can follow up on them and help them on their journey to better health.”

This is the first step towards our goal of starting a benevolence ministry in our local community. While the health book focuses on nutrition, our website will also cover other aspects of healthy living, including the importance of clean water, activity, victory over addictions, self-worth, rest, physical environment, clean air, sunshine, positive outlook and trust in God. This will help us to learn the needs of people of the community, give us opportunities to meet those needs using the methods of Jesus and give us more opportunities to invite people to follow Him.

Pray that our benevolence ministry will open hearts to the gospel and be a part of the DNA of the disciple-making church-planting movement we are here to ignite. Aaron has made many lifestyle changes that have had positive results, and he believes the theory behind making further changes. Pray that he will choose to make further changes and be a healthy lifestyle pioneer for his people so that more Central Asians may experience a vibrant life full of hope in salvation through Jesus.
