“Without hope, we will die or go mad. We must have hope.”

This is the cry of many Albanian hearts. If only they knew where to place their trust. If only they knew what to hope for. Once again, political unrest, violent clashes and turmoil are plaguing the country. People are desperate for a better way, but they are placing all their hopes on mere men.

If only they knew that the Lord Jesus Himself is the way. He gives blessed hope. He alone brings truth, peace and joy. They have longing in their hearts, but they don’t know what they are looking for. They sense there must be some meaning for life; some purpose for their own existence.

Who will tell them? Who will show them? Who will pray for them? Who will be part of the rescue team? Thankfully, some have been partnering in this project and others to reach those people groups most resistant to the truth that would set them free. And, praise God, He is blessing their efforts, earnest prayers and financial support.

Hearts are responding. Captives are being set free. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of God shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?” (Rom. 10: 13-15)
