We’re Here

Whew! It’s been a long time since I posted anything. We had a crazy two-and-a-half week trip to Michigan. We were blessed to go through five National Park/National Monument-type-places and get those stamps in our park passports. We also were able to see the site of Little Town on the Prairie, which was my favorite stop since I’ve read those books since I was a girl. We had lots of adventures, including spending one night sleeping in our car, but now we’re here. We’ve been here for 3 weeks. It’s been such a blessing to get unpacked and settled in. We’ve become familiar with the local area and picked blueberries. We’ve also been chipping away at the required reading for our training. We have a stack of 16 books on discipleship and other things helpful for our future work that we’ve been working our way through. They’re all really good books and we’ve been enjoying them and learning a lot. Now we have one week left and training will begin. Our children are excited for their “school” to start with the other missionary kids. There will be six children all together in a little class and their teacher will be teaching them interesting things like spinning and paper-making and hydrotherapy. They’re excited to start and we’re excited to get started on our training which will be basically the last step before we launch, Lord willing. Training is pretty intense. It’s from 8-5 everyday and so we ask that, during this time, you pray for us that we’ll be able to maintain a good life balance with our children. We are so happy to be doing what we’re doing and we are so thankful for your support and your prayers. We’re praying for you! Please continue to pray for us.
