The Human Race in God’s Eyes

Before the creation of man, God brought everything into existence with the phrase, “Let there be . . .” However, on the sixth day of creation week, the almighty Yahweh came down to the earth and said, “‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.’ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he male and female. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Gen. 1:26, 27; 2:7). Instead of calling us into existence like the rest of creation, He used His powerful but tender hands to form us. Not stopping there, he bent down and put his Holy mouth on man’s mouth of dust and breathed into him His holy breath. That is why Patriarchs and Prophets say on page 44, “man is the crowning work of the Creator.”

The almighty Jehovah is so very passionate about human beings. We are not a biological accident as many think. We are created in the image and after the likeness of the almighty Yahweh, and we have His breath in us. If this is true, then there can be no hopeless or worthless human beings. God has placed the highest value on us—His own life.

Yes, the mind of God is preoccupied with us just as an investor’s mind is preoccupied with his investment. That is why He redeemed us. By His grace, you and I understand this wonderful truth. But what about His other investments, the Susu of Guinea, West Africa, who are still in bondage? He says of them, “But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, ‘Restore.’ Who among you will give ear to this? Who will hearken and hear for the time to come?” (Isa. 42:22, 23). Then He said in verses six and seven of the same chapter, “I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.”

God is passionate about these unreached people just as He is passionate about you. He wants you to share His passion by teaming up with Him to open the prison doors and help restore your fellow human beings. There are two ways you can do this: by praying for the Susu and by financially supporting His mission to them. Ask God to show you where you best fit into His Susu team.
