Adventist Frontier Missions did not choose its name by coincidence. We are on the frontier of a war, engaged in the Great Controversy between Jehovah and Lucifer.
The war started in Heaven, and it will end right here on earth. Humanity and angels are involved in this cosmic battle between good and evil. No matter what side we choose, we are fully engaged in this ferocious warfare. Ellen White wrote, “While those who yield to the influence of the Holy Spirit begin a war with themselves, those who cling to sin war against the truth and its representatives. Thus strife is created, and Christ’s followers are accused as troublers of the people. But it is fellowship with God that brings them the world’s enmity. They are bearing the reproach of Christ. They are treading the path that has been trodden by the noblest of the earth. Not with sorrow, but with rejoicing, should they meet persecution” (The Desire of Ages, p. 306). “Ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God” (Isa. 43:12). When we give our lives to Christ, we are automatically recruited into God’s army. When we volunteer to be in the service of God, we place ourselves on the hottest part of the battle line. Frontier mission work is all about that.
Please lift up the frontier missionaries that the Holy Spirit puts on your heart as you read this magazine. As you pray for us, you are striking a blow for God’s kingdom.
