Sharing the Blessing

In the great commissions we find in the Bible, “blessing” is a fundamental factor in the mission of reaching others.

We see it when God blesses Adam and Eve and asks them to be fruitful and multiply to spread the blessing (Genesis 1:28). God gives a similar blessing to Noah when He asks him to “fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1). When God blesses Abraham, He even tells him, “All the families of the earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:3). Bringing God’s blessing to others is part of our mission.

The blessings from God go beyond our sharing wonderful biblical texts or our beliefs. The blessing of God’s presence through us changes everything around us. Every aspect of life — mental, physical, spiritual and material — is blessed by God.

I don’t usually talk about the material aspect, but I can’t help but see the hand of God blessing our Pnong brothers and sisters, and I think it deserves to be shared.
When we arrived, this village had only three believers. We began to meet some young families. They were poor and shunned by the community because of their past mistakes. Daily, they went out to work to get food for that day. What a hard way to live, even more so when little ones depend on you to bring bread to the table each day.

But today is different. Christ has reached three of these families. They understand their value as children of God and want to serve Him by the way they live their lives.
Today, these three families who decided to join the Body of Christ are building their own houses. They have stable jobs, manage their money and have their children studying in our Adventist school.

Don’t you think this is also a blessing? I think so, and I give glory to God, not only for healing hearts but also for restoring families in the material sense.
Thank you, God. Your main goal is to save us, but You also decide to restore us here on Earth.
