No More Tears

Hunger, poverty, diseases, death, natural disasters, and wars and rumors of wars surround our lives. However, Jesus Christ left a message of hope for us that one day, He will restore this broken world. His is a message we need to proclaim unto the ends of the earth, including the country of Georgia, a place that, since its existence, has fought against invaders intent on conquering their land, stealing not just their material possessions but their identity.

Conflicts in the region of Georgia started in the 7th century B.C. against the establishment of Greek colonies along the Black Sea coast. Other conflicts followed against the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, Persian and, lastly, against the Russian Empire in 2008. Because of the sorrow, tears, losses, death and suppression these battles brought to the Georgian people, they built a strong national identity and a desire for independence, creating a barrier in opposition to the truths not yet revealed to them.

Our role as missionaries is to overcome these barriers without taking away their identity and culture, as opposed to fighting against their opposition. We need to mingle with them, live like one of them, and understand them in the same way the apostle Paul did in becoming all things to all people so that by all possible means, we might save some (1 Corinthians 9:22).

Georgians deserve to hear the message of salvation and that Jesus is coming to make all things new again. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4 NIV). They will then live without conflict or war. They need to know about this hope. Please consider helping us in our mission to spread that message; support us through your prayers and become one of our monthly supporters.
