Mission Monday: Korean Church & Injuries

Korean Church:
I think I mentioned before that we are not allowed to attend local churches for the most part, but we are allowed to attend a non-English speaking church once a month. This last Sabbath we decided to attend the local Korean church and had such a fun time! They were so friendly and their food is amazing too. It was a lot fun to experience their culture. wink emoticon

Injuries:
Jayson injured his nose on concrete, Joel broke his finger, and Jayden ripped a toenail off. These are the major injuries that our family has experienced this past week. Injuries are fairly common around here, especially with the boys. wink emoticon We are just thankful that nothing has been worse than it has been and we’re praying for protection for our active little ones.

Goal Reached:
Also, we are so happy for the “Coal” family as they have reached their financial goals and will be on their way to Turkey soon!

Crucible:
This coming weekend we will be experiencing what AFM calls the Crucible. I guess all former attendees are “sworn to secrecy” about details, but we’ve been able to put together a few clues here and there. It is patterned after the Marine’s Crucible weekend, although it is a family-friendly version. I know the main purpose is to learn to work together as a team and apply the principles we’ve been learning. I also know that sleep and food deprivation are involved! I’ve heard that it’s an awesome experience in many ways though and we’re definitely looking forward to it (and trying to get rested up too, lol).

Inspiring Quote:
“I believe that in each generation God has called enough men and women to evangelize all the yet unreached tribes of the earth. It is not God who does not call. It is man who will not respond!” –_ Isobel Kuhn, missionary to China and Thailand_

This is a Cham grandpa who is very thankful for the reading glasses he just got! Reading glasses are a real need in developing countries.
