Late Nights, Early Mornings

We have found that conducting business from the other side of the world is tiring. About the time we are winding down for bed, the emails start pouring in with things that need to be attended to before the next day. Some mornings start very early with board meetings scheduled to accommodate people in four different time zones. For us, that might mean 5:30 a.m. Though we are enjoying our time in the States, we are looking forward to being back “on the ground” so we can more easily deal with things in a timely fashion.

This furlough came upon us a bit unplanned, definitely not the norm for most AFM missionaries. Furlough planning usually begins 8 to 10 months ahead, but we had only about six days to plan for ours. Next month we will share more of that story and how God has been working in our absence. In the meantime, please pray for those who are overseeing the project in our absence and pray for our soon return to Cambodia.
