Iku Hito

When I was 12, my grandmother had a dream that I was standing in a large body of water, baptizing hundreds of people.

Dreams have always held great significance in my family, and this one inspired my desire to be involved in mission work. It is a key reason why my family and I are deeply committed to spreading the gospel in Japan.

Recently, I dreamed that someone handed me a green yunomi (a traditional Japanese teacup) engraved with a name in Japanese. When I asked the person who gave it to me what the name meant, he replied, “The one that will go.”

This dream is yet another confirmation that God has called our family to be missionaries in Japan. After researching, I discovered that “The one that will go” in Japanese is “iku hito.” This phrase reminds me of one of my favorite Bible verses: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me’” (Isaiah 6:8). Like Isaiah, my family and I have always been willing to go wherever the Lord sends us.

As we work towards making “iku hito” a reality, please consider joining our monthly support team. Thank you
