“Can you come and look at this guy? He has a problem with his hands and feet.” I asked what the problem was. They told me that, for about a week, the man’s wrists and ankles had felt like there was fire in them. He was a blind member of our church and refused to see the traditional healers. Not long before that, someone had told me about another person who had the same thing in their foot. They were sure it had been caused by someone cursing them.

Yes, believe it or not, there are sicknesses that come from Satan. If you go to the hospital for treatment, the doctors will say you are in perfect health. Some of these demonic sicknesses even lead to death of the person. So I asked the man whether he knew if someone had cursed him. He said he didn’t think so. I wasn’t sure what the problem was. I looked at his hands and feet, and they were not swollen or hot or anything unusual.

I mixed several cups of charcoal powder with water. Before applying the charcoal, I prayed that God would work for His glory. I also ordered Satan, if he was causing this problem, to leave in the name of Jesus. I then started to plaster the charcoal on the man’s wrists and ankles. After about 10 minutes, I asked him if the pain was going away. He said it was. After another 10 minutes, I washed the charcoal off him. He said he was feeling better.

Our adversary is roaming around like a lion looking for those he can devour. But that same lion will run from the name of Jesus. We need to be careful, but we don’t need to be afraid. Our Savior has won the victory already. See Mark 16:15-19. This is for all who believe in Jesus.
