My name is Stéphane. I am married with three children and am a Seventh-day Adventist Christian.
God used Pastor Joe during the time of COVID-19 to restore me from a life of depression. In 2020, when I lost my job, I lost the full support of my parents and the elders and pastor of my church. I was very committed to the church, and it broke my heart to have to leave.
In 2021, when Pastor Joe learned of my situation, he came to pray for me and anoint me with oil. My situation had become so dire that I could not even pay the rent on my house, forcing me to move back into my family’s home. During a midnight phone call, Pastor Joe urged my animist family and me to pray for deliverance. We came to understand that spiritual darkness was behind our struggle.
Our situation became more complicated as we prayed, but Pastor Joe encouraged us to persevere. He said the world of darkness was using its last weapons.
There were times when I could not feed my children, and I had to send them to one of my brothers in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) for help. After nearly two years of prayer and fasting, the Lord visited and restored me. Jesus always wins.
Christians also experience difficult times. I had begun losing my faith, but I regained it thanks to God and His servant. The Lord has doubly blessed me.
As in Stéphane’s story, the Animists of Central Africa have very similar struggles with spiritual oppression. Our family ministered in Guinea and saw the Lord bring victory over Satan’s hold. We are now developing our support team in preparation for our transition to Central Africa to share the same gospel message with these precious people. Will you prayerfully consider joining our monthly support team?
