“For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations” (Isa. 61:11).
During the summer, Robbie made a couple garden boxes and planted a variety of seeds. The weather was hot, and the garden produced abundantly. Robbie’s family enjoyed tomatoes, lettuce, cantaloupes, cucumbers and more. It was a blessing to have such fresh, homegrown produce.
Now I look at the garden, and it is brown and dry, with only some cooler-climate plants producing. It is hard to remember what it looked like in full production. It is hard to imagine what it will look like next summer when new seeds have been sown and plants are thriving.
Likewise, it is hard for us to envision what the Lord has planned for the Northern Khmer people. We know He wants them to thrive and grow in their relationship with Him, and we are eager to help facilitate that growth. The Lord is even more eager than we are to make righteousness and praise spring up among the Northern Khmer. This is encouraging to us.
We know your prayers and support are vital to the Northern Khmer Project’s vitality, and we thank you for both.
