Whether it’s a final request, final parting words, or a final warning, we tend to pay closer attention to final things, as well we should.
Every recorded word Jesus spoke is significant, and we should really sit up and take notice of His final sign, final warning, final parting words, and His final request, especially since there is a common thread running through them all.

Jesus’ final words before His ascension, known as the great commission, are found in Matthew 28:19. The last sign of His coming is found in Matthew 24:14. And we know the finishing message of warning to the world, commonly referred to as the Three Angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12.

Before you read any farther, get out your Bible and look up these verses. Find for yourself the common theme of Christ’s finals. What is the focus of Jesus’ direction for us? It is to reach every people group of the earth with the gospel. This is the sole reason for AFM’s existence.
So why don’t we hear more about it reaching the world? Why aren’t we shouting it from the rooftops? The message is so remarkably clear that surely even blind Laodiceans should be able to see it.

You and I have the privilege of honoring our Lord and Savior’s final request. Hallelujah! Let’s do it! Let’s be a rescue team and finish the work, finally.
