Evangelistic Meeting Report

Since January, we have been preparing for an evangelistic series and publicizing the event on a local radio station. The event ran from the 12th to the 26th of April, and the turnout each night was very encouraging, averaging about 50 people.

Attacks from the enemy made the two weeks of our evangelistic series very difficult. The series was held at City Hall, and we found the buildings full of National Guardsmen who were encamped there. They were in town to forcefully remove the striking workers of a Russian-owned aluminum company who were barricaded in the District Office, demanding government intervention in their stalled pay negotiations with their employer.

But, for every obstacle Satan put in our path, God almighty was there to clear the way. Despite all the tension and drama in town, Muslims and Christians came each night to hear present truth.

At the end of the evangelistic series, eight souls were won to Christ, and 13 people requested more Bible studies. A formerly Muslim Fulani man was among those who were baptized at the end of the program. The rest of those who were baptized were from Christian backgrounds. Life will not be easy for these new members and interests. The evil one does not accept defeat easily. He is whipping up winds of persecution on all fronts—from employers, schools and family members. Please lift them up continually in prayer.

Thank you all for supporting God’s work in the vineyard of Guinea.
