“I think you are part of my destiny to help get me back to studying the Bible.”
Hearing these words, I couldn’t help but marvel at the divine appointment unfolding right before our eyes.
A couple months ago during one of our regular team Skype meetings, our field director told us about someone she had just met in Alaska, Mr. T, who had a friend in Bangkok, Mrs. C, whom he hoped a missionary could visit. So Cindi and I made an appointment to have supper with Mrs. C.
As we got to know each other, Mrs. C told us she had been a foreign-exchange student in Alaska several years ago and had lived with Mr. T and his family. They had introduced her to the Bible, and she had developed an interest in it. After completing her time as a foreign exchange student, she finished college, got married and began working in Nigeria. Along the way, she had stopped reading the Bible. Now she is working in Bangkok while her husband continues to work in Nigeria, and their son lives with her mother in China. She confessed to us that she still has some questions about the Bible, but she wants to raise her son in a Christian church.
I told Mrs. C about a local church that would be starting a Sabbath school class on basic Bible doctrines shortly, and I invited her to join. She said she would like to attend. Our time together ended with prayer and a promise to send her more information about how she could begin studying the Bible.
Please pray that our new friend will continue studying the Bible and will find answers to her pressing questions.

Hi Kyle and Cindi. I got into AFM website after google-ing a closest church in Kanchanaburi, where I will be visiting on Sept.‘13, .. and of course AFM made me remember you both, and eventually looked you up..
Im amazed to have read your blog..Especially this on, coz you introduced her to me before. Did she go to the ***** Church? I pray she’s on her spriritual growth right now.
You two have been a great blessing to us here in Thailand.
