The Call

SSDti01-1,2 Friendship Evangelist/Social Media Influencer – Aid your career missionary in writing Bible studies and then work with a local to get them translated into the local language. Use your video editing skills to record audio and produce videos from these presentations that can be shared with the people via mobile messaging for discrete nurturing of their faith.

The People

About 230,000 Great River people border the Mekong River. Extremely poor, they survive by farming, fishing, building boats, and light commerce. They practice folk Islam, mixing veneration of the dead with magic and Muslim tradition.

The Project

Started in the early 2000s, this project has seen several missionary families seeking to live out the Gospel before the people. Located by the Mekong River, the village where the current families live floods from time to time during the heavy rainy season. May the Holy Spirit flood the hearts of these hospitable people as they receive the Bread of Life.
