The Call

SSDs03-1,2 English & Bible Teacher/Youth Ministry Leader – Invest in the lives of the young people of southern Thailand as you plan and teach children’s and youth Sabbath schools, AY programs, and/or Adventure club meetings. Connect with those in the community through friendship evangelism and offering free English and Bible teaching services. Prayer, language learning, and friendship evangelism, will accomplish much. Will study Thai.

The People

The Thai people are hospitable and friendly. They love to have fun, love to visit, and highly value one’s ability to control his/her emotions and say “no problem” in the face of problems and stresses.

The Project

Southern Thailand, located on the Malay Peninsula and with an area of around 27,000 square miles, is a little larger than West Virginia. The western part has steep coasts, while river plains dominate the east side. It is a growing region with a population of more than 9 million. Less than one percent of Thailand’s population is Christian. However, most of these live north of Bangkok. There has been less outreach to the Southern Thai people. This project seeks to take the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ to the Buddhists in southern Thailand. To learn more, view the project page for Buddhists of Southern Thailand
