The Family

Originally from South America, Vanius and Elisabete Dias, along with their family, have served as team (2021-2024) and career (2024-present) missionaries with Adventist Frontier Missions while working with the Geba Animists in Guinea-Bissau.

Before entering the ministry, Vanius worked as a business administrator in debt collection management, specializing in leadership and team development. Elisabete, meanwhile, coordinated financial departments at several companies for 15 years.

Their missionary journey began in 2012, when Vanius, then a theology student, received an invitation through the UNASP Mission Center to serve in Guinea-Bissau. The couple accepted immediately. Elisabete became director of an Adventist school, while Vanius served as a district pastor supporting churches and mission groups throughout the country.

After returning to Brazil to complete theological studies and continue ministry work, God called them back to Guinea-Bissau through Adventist Frontier Missions. In 2021, they returned with their children, Esther, Matheus, and Manuela (a big team).

Vanius serves as a pastor, training leaders and sharing the gospel in local communities. Elisabete is a medical student who combines compassion and ministry in missionary work. Their mission focuses on church planting, discipleship and educating young people through language programs that create opportunities for growth and hope. They desire to prepare hearts for Christ’s return through service, education and evangelism.

The hope of Christ’s second coming (Matthew 24:14) remains the central motivation of their mission and service.
