We are the Theunissens, born and bred in South African. We have three happy God-fearing children, all with their own careers who live in South Africa. We were both called to be medical missionaries at a camp meeting in South Africa in 2008. We decided to wait until our children finished high school when we applied to AFM.
We trust that God has a plan for her life and ours. We are in His hands.

Sometimes we go weeks without a glimmer of hope, and then God gives us fresh courage through interactions like that evening with our friends. We realized again that, without a doubt, God is working.

I often wonder how to help my friends make Jesus part of their lives. He has already paid the price for my friends’ salvation even though they do not realize it.

We are so privileged to be here. Every day, we see how much our people need the loving peace and saving grace of Isa al Massi. We also see how Satan is trying his best to stop the good work from happening in this part of the world. Please pray for the people of Mesopotamia.
