“Missionaries are needed to go to other nations, to preach the truth in a guarded, careful manner. The cause of present truth can be greatly extended by personal effort. The contact of individual mind with individual mind will do more to remove prejudice, if the labor is discreet, than our publications alone can do.” (“Testimony to the Church” PH159 p. 204.2)
In the assemblies and halls of local and national governments, the signs of the times are pointing ever more to the fulfilling of prophecy, the wedding of religion and nationalism, the uniting of church and state in unholy matrimony, no longer content to court but fully committed to become one flesh.
Wars. Rumors of wars. Catastrophes in nature, world economies, society and religion. All are occurring at an alarming yet unsurprising pace. Yet where are the increasing numbers of Seventh-day Adventist missionaries to match?
Glory to God that many are answering the call to tell the world. Sadly, many more members are sitting idly, unconcerned, some not even believing biblical truth concerning upcoming persecution, while others are paralyzed with fear or wondering what they can do.
The solution is to pray and to cultivate your faith. Pray like you have never prayed before, and ask God to show you biblical truth and what He would have you do as you study the Bible. Cultivate faith in the creative power of God’s Word to speak into existence that which is not, birthing a missionary out of one who was not a missionary before.
If ever there were a time to become a missionary, IT IS NOW! Take your faith into the world. Be proactive. Take the offensive. His will shall be done. Join in God’s work, of which His angels never tire.
