Why Japan? Why Now?

I never imagined God would call me to Japan. But since first learning about Japan’s spiritual needs, my heart has been burdened. Less than one percent of the population knows Jesus. Many have never heard His name. And yet, Japan is full of spiritual searching—people bowing at shrines, clapping to get the attention of distant gods, and living with quiet questions about life, death and peace.

Earlier this year, I visited Japan. More than a research journey—it was confirmation. I met people who were kind and curious but spiritually unaware. I walked through cities filled with beauty and tradition but lacking the one true Hope. As I left, I knew I must return—soon.

As I launch into long-term mission work, I need people who will enter the harvest field with me—through prayer, encouragement and monthly giving—the lifeline that makes it possible to train, move, learn the language and serve full-time.

Romans 10:14–15 reminds us that missionaries are sent not only by God but by His people. We are all part of God’s redemptive mission; some go, others send, and all are called to prayer. It is our responsibility as part of God’s family to respond.

Would you consider joining my monthly support team? Together, we can take the gospel to those in Japan who are still waiting to hear it for the first time.
