“What about your children?” That’s the first question some asked after learning of our decision to serve God in Albania. It was the first question I asked God when He called us. I tearfully poured out my heart in prayer, and this is what He brought to my mind to comfort me. I have always prayed for my children, not that they would have a comfortable and easy life, but that they would be moved with the love of Jesus, that they would know the joy of loving their Lord with all their hearts, that they would know the peace of willing service to Him, and that they would live eternally with the One who died for them.

Now, am I willing to trust Him to answer this prayer? Yes, now I know that Albania is in His plan for my children, too. Each daughter senses that God is calling her personally to missionary service.
On November 20, our youngest daughter gave her heart to the Lord in baptism. She desires to work with the children of Albania. Thank you, Lord!

Our older daughter, now 14, wants to work in child evangelism, and also has interest in medical missionary work, health evangelism, and midwifery. She has received training in all those areas and has a hunger to learn much more. I praise God for hearing a mother’s prayers for her children. “With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon coming Savior might be carried to the world!” (Ellen White Education, p. 271).

Please continue to pray for missionary children and youth, as the enemy’s attacks on them are many. Pray for all our youth that they would choose to serve in God’s army.
