Waiting is one of the hardest things God asks us to do. Yet in waiting, faith is tested, refined and strengthened. Like Joshua at the edge of the Promised Land, I find myself waiting—knowing God has called me, yet still on this side of the Jordan.
His calling is clear: Japan. He is sending me to a people searching for meaning, beauty and peace. But before stepping into that mission, He has asked me to wait, prepare and trust Him for what I cannot yet see.
During this season, I often pray, “Lord, I know You have called me, but when? How will You provide?” The uncertainty sometimes feels overwhelming. Yet I hear His gentle reminder from Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Strength and courage in waiting do not come from sheer willpower, but from knowing who goes before us. God was already in Canaan before Joshua set foot there. He is already in Japan—moving in unseen ways, preparing hearts to encounter His love and truth.
The waiting is not wasted; it is working. God has been preparing not just my circumstances but my heart, teaching me to trust, rest and remember that His promises are sure, even when His timing seems slow.
Joshua 3:5 says, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” That promise still stands. God is preparing Japan to witness His power and be transformed by His presence.
As I wait, I am learning to be strong and courageous—not because I know what is next, but because I know Who goes with me.
Would you walk with me in this season? Your prayers and monthly support help me continue trusting forward, believing God’s amazing work in Japan has already begun.
