Transition

I hold in my hand a letter that has changed our lives. It’s officially time to leave India. This has come as a shock to us.

Working in religiously sensitive countries is never easy, and residence is never guaranteed. We always recognized that we were guests in India and that our hosts could choose to turn us out at any time. Circumstances now make it impossible for us to continue living in India. In less than a week, we will have packed, sold or given away everything we own here. We will be moving to a neighboring country where we plan to continue working and living among a community of Gorkha people.

This is a major transition time for all of us here. We welcome your prayers for us, our partners, and the church members. We are safe, but we are sad. Still, we are thankful for continuing evidences that God’s hand is in this. We will share more information next month.
