We are going to Croatia! That thought is really sinking in.
We have so much to do to prepare, including deciding which things to get rid of. Then God reminded me of the rich young ruler. Jesus told him to sell everything and give to the poor. “But God, I need that money to fix the house, and what about our project in Croatia?”
“What about it? I have cattle on a thousand hills, remember? I can give you money any way I want!” God replied.
Driving home from swim practice that evening was crazy. It was late, and the children and I were tired and hungry. We decided to stop for fast food, but nobody could agree on where to go. The arguing was not helping, and I was getting angry. I turned into the parking lot of the first fast-food place I saw, one I never go to, and randomly ordered before pulling into a parking spot to wait for our food.
I noticed the car next to us contained a couple who looked less fortunate. My window was rolled down when the man got out of his car and walked in our direction. Oh no! I thought. Then he handed me a $50 bill, which I tried to refuse. He insisted. Why? What compelled him?
I sat there humbled as I remembered my conversation with God.
Submitting to God gets easier the more we do it and see Him work. I can see how He is preparing us for life in Croatia. Please continue to pray for us. I pray that you, too, submit to whatever God is placing on your heart.
I would like to invite you to partner with us in the call to witness to the Croatian people. Your monthly sponsorship is needed and greatly appreciated. Thank you.
