Preparation Time

In this time of preparation for both the heavenly kingdom and mission service, we are seeing more and more our need to be totally dependent on God. It is absolutely critical that we allow God to lead and not self. We know this intellectually, but putting it into practice is quite another thing. We must battle self continually. Thankfully, our Lord is ever present, showing us precious promises that are like a balm to our wounds and soothe our anxious minds.

Gospel Workers p. 263 says, “If we surrender our lives to His service, we can never be placed in a position for which God has not made provision. Whatever may be our situation, we have a Guide to direct our way.”
In scripture, we find another sweet promise in Philippians 4:19: “And my God shall supply all your needs in accordance to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

God knows our needs better than we do. If we continually trust Him with those needs, He will provide for us like Ephesians 3:20 promises—”exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” What an amazing God!

Through this preparation time, we are continually learning to trust the Lord to prepare, equip and strengthen us so we can go. “But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand” (Isa. 64:8). These promises and many others are our safeguard as the Lord leads us to serve in Cambodia, Nepal and the Philippians, where less than three percent of the population knows about Christ. We need prayer warriors and financial supporters to join us. Won’t you help us go and serve?
