Recently, our friend David put on a home concert with some of his friends. They sang mostly French songs, but also some in various tribal languages. Some were well-known praise songs, others were Bible verses David had put to music. Throughout the program, David shared things from the Bible that were important to him. He’s not yet an Adventist, but since becoming friends with us, he has read both The Desire of Ages and The Great Controversy.

Joy and gratitude danced inside of me as I hummed along. I’m so thankful to be here in Benin! Thankful for you, the readers of this magazine, who support the work of God around the world. Thankful for my new friends with a language and culture different from my own. Thankful that, by God’s grace, we will all one day be able to stand together in front of the eternal throne singing praises to God and to the Lamb!
