Missionary Tupperware Party

A missionary Tupperware party? I assure you it is not a joke—it really happened. Generally, Tupperware parties are organized by Tupperware consultants in the homes of hosts who invite friends and neighbors to see the product line.

The missionary Tupperware party was the great idea of Dorothea and Rocco Sarli, family friends and supporters. (Nathan, their second son, is our youngest donor.) The Sarlis’ idea was to use Tupperware’s well-known marketing concept to promote our missionary project and get support from the friends who would be present.

We had a wonderful experience in their house on August 28. We had some American and African snacks for the guests to sample afterward. The three invited family friends showed interest to our project, and the next day, two informed that they’d decided to support us. What a great feedback! We are excited about repeating the experience and thank God we have friends willing to host events like this. This is a great idea for us Africans who live community lives and are used to hosting many people in our homes for meals on a regular basis. Thanks for the experience, and God bless!

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31).
