Recently, I spoke with a friend I haven’t seen in years. He shared with me a life lesson he experienced one winter a few years back during a period of financial distress. Even with faithful prayer and Bible memorization, fear of losing everything sent him into depression and suicidal thoughts. The thoughts continued for several months as my friend wrestled with God. Then one day, God spoke to him and challenged him to go ahead and die. Galatians 2:20 came to his mind: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” The challenge wasn’t to physically take his life, but to give all to God and receive His peace and security.
My friend went home to his wife, and together they died to their possessions. His fear had been that he would lose everything—house, car, wife, kids, property, etc. But now he gave ownership of everything to God.
When my friend went out to plow the snowy driveway, the plow truck wouldn’t start. Normally this would have caused him a lot of stress, but not now. He knew it was God’s truck, and he simply wondered how God would fix it. Minutes later, God impressed him to check the alternator belt. After my friend tightened the belt, the truck started.
I have been deeply impressed by my friend’s new peace and happiness. It has encouraged me to place total ownership of the Ama Project in God’s hands. I want Him to be in charge of His work, not me.

Hello *****,
Your faith will set you free from all the worry. . .
Remembering John. . .
“Though no miraculous deliverance was granted John, he was not forsaken. He had always the companionship of heavenly angels, who opened to him the prophecies concerning Christ, and the precious promises of Scripture. These were his stay, as they were to be the stay of God’s people through the coming ages. To John the Baptist, as to those that came after him, was given the *****urance, “Lo, I am with you all the days, even unto the end.” Matthew 28:20, R. V., margin. {DA 224.4}
God never leads His children otherwise than they would choose to be led, if they could see the end from the beginning, and discern the glory of the purpose which they are fulfilling as co-workers with Him. . . . And of all the gifts that Heaven can bestow upon men, fellowship with Christ in His sufferings is the most weighty trust and the highest honor.” DA 225
In the GOSPEL of CHRIST the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God is revealed from FAITH to FAITH. Christ’s FAITH in His Father in given to us as our FAITH. . .
May Heaven supply you with The FAITH of JESUS in every trial.
Prayed for you,
Emerald Tide
I know a pilot who flies a cargo plane to PNG don’t know where, exactly … do you want me to find out if he could be of *****istance in shipping ? Just an idea for possible shipping resources…
Emerald Tide
Dear Emerald Tide,
I want to thank you for your willingness to help. I am being helped by someone who has worked with Adventist Aviation Services in PNG. Also I am hiring an agent to make shipping a little more streamlined. Contacts are welcome but not necessary since I have a few I’m working with already.
God Bless,
***** Hicks
