Until we reach heaven, we may not know how much our lives led others to be there.

My parents, John and Elaine Brizendine, do not know I am becoming a missionary. So, I want to honor them and inspire and encourage all parents, grandparents, pastors, mentors and those who impact others’ lives to know that what you say and do matters.

As I reflect on my father’s early love for God, people, and music, I am thankful that God has bestowed that gift of music and songwriting into my life through him — both by example and by way of genetics. My mom was a prayer warrior, pouring her life into me and my sister through her love and consistent time and influence in homeschooling us. I praise God that through her, I learned to trust and love His word as a child.

Losing my dad in 2000 was hard, but when my mom died in 2002, I felt like my world collapsed. My life to this day is a testimony that God can restore and heal the most broken life through the power of Jesus’ love, His health principles, His word, healing relationships and prayer. Before I ever step foot in Papua New Guinea, I honor the Lord who gave me my parents.

I look forward to the day we can meet at the coming of Jesus. May it be with the largest harvest of souls possible. To those who are already partnering with me, thank you.
