“For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isa. 55:8, 9).
When in desperation or great need, our focus shifts more to God. We have been seeing this on the Pnong Project recently. Daniel Greenfield, the project leader, has begun holding a weekly prayer session with the missionary families and short-term missionaries. The first session was specifically about the need to purchase property to start an agricultural industry so the school can be self-sufficient. The time and funding constraints brought the team to their knees.
Now, many weeks later, this gathering has become such a treasured time for all of them as they praise God for answered prayers (personal and project-oriented) and regularly lay before the Lord many things on their hearts.
As of this writing, the land for the agriculture industry is still not purchased. However, God is growing and uniting this team in many ways through their collective prayer. He is also teaching them that even when prayers are not answered in the way they ask, His ways can bring unexpected blessings. Praise the Lord!
Please pray that the Pnong team’s faith will increase as they continue to seek the Lord and trust in His higher ways.
