Crucible

I want to BEE ready for the crucible! By the way, what is a crucible? It is a container used to purify precious metals using high temperatures to separate the gold or silver from impurities. In the Bible we find passages in which God uses crucibles to purify His people from their sins and to make them pure and ready to go to heaven. In Zechariah 13:9 (first part), the Lord is giving a prophecy to the people of Israel. He said: “This third I will bring into the fire, I will refine them like silver and test them like gold”. Sometimes the Lord allows us to go through tribulations such as financial stress, sickness, emotional problems, and other circumstances to test us. Job in the middle of his sorrow of losing all his children, possessions, and his health still believed that God was in control of everything in his life. He said in Job 23:10: “But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold”. Last week all the families in training this summer at AFM went for 3 days of crucible in the woods. We were put through many challenges. It was very interesting to see how each person reacted in different circumstances. I BEELIVE this experience was one of a kind. We were tired and weary at times when participating in physical and mental activities and those circumstances made the bond that we had with each other and with God stronger than before. Will we still trust in Jesus when things seem to be out of control? Will we allow Him to use tribulations to bring us closer to God?

Love the pictures and the reminder of the point of the crucible….it is for God to remove the dross in our lives so the gold can be seen! We see gold shining in you both. Praise God!

I agree, crucible is something unique and I’m thankful to the Lord for the crucibles that we have in our lives.
