Amazed passersby asked, “Why is this work being done? Who sent you?” curious who would serve without expecting anything in return. Some offered encouragement. Many smiled in gratitude.
At the local Kangaba Hospital, George Tooray provided logistical support to the church community as they bore witness to Christ and demonstrated love for their Muslim neighbors by distributing food and cleaning the hospital grounds. Hot tea and millet cakes were prepared and delivered to the hospital for health workers, patients and their families. On Sunday morning, members cleaned the front of the hospital, pulled weeds and removed trash.
Community cleaning is a simple way to quickly improve a neighborhood: build pride, reduce pollution, promote good health, help neighbors feel connected and show that shared spaces matter. We pray these seeds of activity germinate and bear fruit.
We remain deeply committed to serving the Malinke people. Your partnership and generosity sustain this essential work and bring hope to those who need it most.
