AFM Training Finishes!

As her motionless body lay in a basket in the hut, the missionary earnestly prayed for God to do bring her back to life. But nothing happened. For hours he prayed. He finally came to a point where he wasn’t praying for God to raise the baby to life for his reputation, but for God’s honor before a people who had not yet decided whether they believed in Him. He surrendered the whole situation to God’s will. Right then the mother started to tearing at the basket to open the bundle up as she heard the baby coming back to life. A miraculous resurrection! This powerful testimony was shared during our training by one of our presenters—among many other amazing stories and lessons!

God blessed us with John Holbrook, Dale Goodson, Erin White, James Arkusinski, Johnny Hajaj, Laurence Burn, Conrad Vine, Kristine Proctor, Hugo Leon, Cheryl Doss, John Baxter, Micheé Bade, Susan Payne, Kyle Tumberg, Cavelle Regis, and others who presented with such passion and insight into key areas of cross-cultural missionary preparation. When we started AFM Career Missionary Training on September 2, we expected to learn many great lessons. The blessing has been immense.

But for both of us, the family-like bond we have formed with the other missionaries in training has been a foretaste of heaven, giving us such encouragement and fellowship. We praise God for the joy of connecting deeply with Geovan and Daniele Machú, Joe and Beryl Nyamwange, Joe and Joanna Reynolds, and Filipe and Isabella Gomez! We trust God to keep guiding us and the other four career missionary candidate families as we move forward to where God has called each of us. Please pray for us. Graduation from AFM Training is November 23. Our miracle-working God will work in answer to earnest prayer—including your prayers!
