The Call

SSDn03-1 Missionary Internship/Music Teacher – Work hand-in-hand with your career missionary as you gain experience in catalyzing church planting movements in the local villages. Coach nationals in leading Bible study groups and become involved in an access ministry, including teaching Music part time. Good opportunity for those who want to go into career missions someday. Will study Khmer.

The People

Rural Cambodians are very friendly yet uneducated, and eager to have you sit and talk. There are 5 different animistic hill tribes in the area, including the Jarai, the Brau, the Krung, the Kochok, and the Tampuan, each varying slightly from the other. The dominant people group in Cambodia are the Buddhist Khmer.

The Project

Ratanakiri, the northeastern most province of Cambodia, is filled with rolling hills, scattered with waterfalls, and home to the crater lake, Yak Loam. It borders the provinces of Mondulkiri to the south and Stung Treng to the west and the countries of Laos and Vietnam to the north and east, respectively.
