Marshall grew up in an Adventist family in Europe and knew from early on that he wanted to dedicate His life to God’s service. Evelyn grew up on an island in the Caribbean in a family divided between Christian and secular beliefs. However, Evelyn developed a relationship with God and dreamed of becoming a missionary one day. In 2018, Marshall and Evelyn met at a mission school in South America. Several years later, they were reunited, and a relationship ensued. They were later baptized and married. Together they decided to offer their lives to God to be used however He seems best.
When Marshall’s parents decided to sell their property to start a missionary project in another country, Marshall and Evelyn decided, as a recently married couple, to follow them on this adventure. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as they thought they would, and they lost sight of their goal. During this time, Evelyn became pregnant and gave birth to little Ismael. Yet throughout this seemingly wasted time, God was preparing them for His calling.
Realizing that there was a great work to be done and that they were not doing much about it, they prayed again for God’s guidance. Shortly after, they met missionaries who had recently started working with AFM. After prayerful consideration, they decided to send their applications to AFM. Since that day, God has opened the doors at great speed. Now they are following God’s call as they prepare to serve as career missionaries among the Arabs of the Maghreb.
The Maghreb people are now dear to Marshall’s heart. His grandfather was born in this region and lived there during his childhood. To confirm the calling, God has recently also allowed him to work with many people from this area.
The Jackson family is very excited about launching into the mission field and is eager to discover the culture and people of the Maghreb community. They hope with all their hearts to be a blessing to this population who must know their Savior, Jesus Christ, and they invite you to join them financially and in prayer in this mission of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to the people of the Maghreb.
