The Espoir family is from South Africa. Both Ben and Penny were born in the Gauteng province and have a great passion for missionary work. They want to follow God’s commission given in Matthew 28, and they long for the day when Jesus will return to fetch His children to reunite them with their heavenly family.

Called to reach the Tai-Kadai people who are heavily influenced by animism, the Espoir family will be teaching English to schoolchildren on their way to becoming teenagers. They desire to have a positive impact on lives, teaching them that Jesus died for their sins, became alive again and has gone to prepare a place for them—just because He loved us. Leading the people to the Blessed Hope, Jesus Christ, they desire them to realize that, with Him leading their lives, they do not have to please the spirits to avoid curses and receive blessings.

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” (John 14:3).

With hope, the Espoir family looks forward to the day of our Savior’s return.
