Ama Project House Construction - Lawrence

The need:
This project seeks to complete the construction of a livable home for the Lawrence family, long-term missionaries living in May River. For years, the Lawrences endured deeply substandard conditions in a dilapidated house.

The goal:

  1. Complete a Safe, Livable Home: To complete the Lawrence family’s partially built house to a safe, livable standard by installing functional bathrooms, a kitchen, and laundry facilities, thereby eliminating their current inadequate living conditions.
  2. Ensure Quality Construction: To utilize a skilled volunteer builder (potentially a retired professional) to lead the construction efforts, ensuring proper building techniques are applied and delivering a high-quality, durable home for the family.
  3. Support the Family’s Ministry Focus: To provide the Lawrence family with a stable and secure home base that enables them to focus on their ministry in May River without housing-related distractions or disruptions.
  4. Promote Sustainability and Stewardship: To ensure long-term sustainability by using durable materials and volunteer labor, demonstrating wise stewardship of resources and reducing future maintenance or support needs for the family’s housing.
