The Call

AF/GM-02 and AF/GM-03 Health Worker/Community Development – Workers Needed: Two units with practical skills such as simple medical treatments, construction know-how, mechanical and/or farming techniques, etc. that will break down prejudice and open the way for the Gospel.

The People

This second largest people group in Guinea make their living as farmers, miners, and merchants. Maninka Islam approves of divination, healing, and certain magical procedures. Fear plays a large part in the spiritual lives of the Maninka.

The Project

Kankan is a likely location for this project on the central eastern side of Guinea, W. Africa. The Maninka appear to be widespread in this area and in the forest region below, near Liberia. To learn more, view the project page for Maninka
